Louis Jucker is a singer-songwriter and DIY activist from La Chaux-de-Fonds, CH. His touching andweird songs are brewed with dazzling honesty and heavy heartbeats. His numerous albums and Ep’s are all released on Hummus Records, a hyperactive Swiss DIYl abel he founded together with Jona Nido, his long-time colleague in punk outfit Coilguns. L’Altro-Mondo: Music with Lovers & Friends (2017), a quintuple album of close collaborations including lo-fi rock supergroup AUTISTI with Emilie Zoé, has gotten Jucker recognition from major medias in France, Germany and Switzerland. His previous LP Krakeslottet [The Crow’s Castle] (2019), though recorded alone in an isolated house in Norway, was toured in Europe with Coilguns as his backing band, which ultimately ledto a live publication bumptiously titled ” Louis Jucker and Coilguns play Krakeslottet [the Crow’sCastle] and other Songs form the Northern Shores». Involved in every aspect of his scene, Jucker produces records, events and festivals, records hisand his other label mates’ music on various lo-fi devices. A concert by Louis Jucker therefore always features something special, self-made instruments, unusual stage setup or performative installation, with the only purpose of sharing unbounded emotions and overall weirdness with his audience.
